Help us continue to provide free and low-cost programming to parents in the GW community and beyond.  Both one time donations and payroll deductions for GW employees are very much appreciated.

About GWPI

The unique combination of workplace, residence, research institution, and provider of higher education makes a university a perfect setting for the exploration of parenting in the 21st century. The GW Parenting Initiative strives to provide a model program of parenting education, support, and research at the George Washington University, and to share the various components of the program with other universities and academic communities in the United States and around the world.

The Parenting Education Program provides a series of classes for expectant and new parents as well as special events for parents of older children.
The GW Breastfeeding Program provides breastfeeding families with individual mentoring, as well as a weekly drop-in support group and an online discussion group.
GW faculty, staff, and students serve as "Parenting Ambassadors" within their own groups or departments, providing resources and information to their colleagues and helping to host occasional events.
Links to articles and websites of interest to parents, as well as information about parenting research taking place at GW.
Volunteers may serve on committees, help with fundraising or publicity, or assist with special events.
