The unique combination of workplace, residence, research institution, and provider of higher education makes a university a perfect setting for the exploration of parenting in the 21st century. The GW Parenting Initiative strives to provide a model program of parenting education, support, and research at the George Washington University, and to share the various components of the program with other universities and academic communities in the United States and around the world.
